Dreams enemy was formed in 1996 from a meeting of like minds of metal musicians who believe that it's not just what you say but how you say it!
August 1996, Danny Lawrence(guitar) had run into a friend at a restaurant drive through and she bagan to tell him about a band her friend was in and wanted to know if he was interested in playing. The following sunday the jam session was set up and the first time Bassist Chad Zielesch and Guitarist Danny Lawrence had met, also there was Jimmy O'sullivan(drums) and Mike(guitar) and singer Brian Hoffman.
Danny and Chad quickly decided to go there own way when Chads brother Adam Zielesch(drums) moved from there hometown in Michigan. Chad, Adam and Danny began working every free moment they had to getting there first set of songs like Passage in your soul, Vengeance and Abduction, and a list of covers so they could go out and jam. But first they needed a singer and that's when Adam put an ad at his job and it was picked up by Donnie Andersons father.
Donnie showed up and the guys were instantly impressed with the control Donnie had on his voice, and the band knew he was the right guy for the band.
Over the next few months the band wrote the rest of the Reality album, was able to get there songs played on the radio and began to play the usual places in the Tampa bay area such as The Connection, Brass Mug, Bourbon Street and Gasoline Alley.
