Riding the Wave Into the Future Dynasty Records Signs Vendor Deal With Trans World Entertainment
(Nashville, TN)... Dynasty Records, a multifaceted Independent Records Label and Distributor, has recently signed a Vendor DealwithTrans World Entertainment Corporation, one of the largest specialty music andvideo retailers in North America.
Founded in 1972, Trans World Entertainment currently operates over 800 plus stores. They continue to set the pace in retail entertainment by adapting, innovating and anticipating the needs of their customers. Through three and a half decades of industry changes, Trans World has remained a leader and pioneer-a tradition that continues today.
Another innovative and forward thinking company, Dynasty Records believes that this new partnership is a perfect match. Dynasty Records now adds these 800 plus new retail store outlets to its current list of stores in North America: Trans World, Sam Goody, FYE, Wherehouse, Strawberries, Coconuts, Streetside, Harmony House just to name a few. Dynasty Records also digitally distributes to over 250 digital retail sites around the world including; Puretracks, Amazon, eMusic, Bell, Sprint, iTunes, and Verizon.
Dynasty Records is expanding the distribution arm of their company. This will make it easier for independent artists who want to make their music available to mainstream, traditional music stores as well as on digital / ringtone sites. These include stores that report to Soundscan.
Jeff Funk has been in the entertainment business for over 30 years. He has had the privilege of working with many performers over the years including Alan Alda, Gary Burgdorf, Telly and George Savalas, Sissy Spacek, John Travolta, Wayne Newton, John Waite, Gloria Estevan and Freddy Heart. He always appreciated good music. As a result, he began Dynasty Records. Jeff has signed songwriters such as Jack Beam, Ken Stange, Daryl Robinson, Craig Thomas and recording artists including Tommy Alvardo, Jay Tobin, Dreams Enemy and Gunslinger. Currently Dynasty has 17 artists on the label.
